Mitar B. Vranic, DO, is a 1992-graduate of Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa, where he received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree. His postgraduate training includes his internship (1992-1993) and general surgery residency served at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital (1993-1997), as well as his peripheral vascular surgery fellowship performed at Ohio University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio (1997-1998), and his vascular endovascular surgery fellowship conducted at Arizona Heart Institute (1998-1999), where he learned cutting edge minimally invasive endovascular techniques from his mentor, Dr. Edward B. Diethrich, AHI founder and world-recognized surgeon. Dr. Vranic attained board certification in general surgery and vascular surgery with the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, holds Non-invasive Vascular Duplex/Ultrasound as well as Trauma Ultra Sound certifications, and became certified as a Wound Care Specialist and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Specialist with the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.
